Zijlstra has signed a 2.5-year contract with Persija Jakarta. He moved to the fishing village in the summer of 2024 and has since played seven official matches. The striker has not played a single minute for Volendam’s first team this season. He put on the shirt 24 times for the Volendam reserves team and scored 20 goals. It is not clear whether FC Volendam will receive a transfer fee for the reserve player.
