An international team of researchers has discovered a gene that increases the risk of having ‘long covid’, or long -term Covid. The study was published on Wednesday in the scientific journal ‘Nature Genetics’. “It is an important study to find out more about what is happening in the body at Long Covid,” says immunologist Johan Van Weyenbergh (KU Leuven-Rega Institute) Thursday.
