The Israeli action in Gaza is contrary to the democratic values on which the Trade Convention between the EU and Israel is based, research by EU-Buitenland chief Kaja Kallas notes. The Dutch ‘Volkskrant’ reports this. The EU can therefore suspend that association agreement (or parts thereof).
