Woe betide if the savior comes later!
In 2021, Brandenburg’s emergency services only reached their location in three cities within the statutory deadline for emergency operations.
Only in Brandenburg/Havel, Frankfurt (Oder) and Cottbus did emergency services arrive within 15 minutes in 95 percent of emergencies.
In Potsdam and in all districts, the deadline was missed, according to the Ministry of Social Affairs in Potsdam in response to a request from the CDU parliamentary group.
In Potsdam, the emergency services were able to comply with the provisions of the Brandenburg Emergency Services Act in 94 percent of cases. In Barnim and Märkisch-Oderland it was 93 percent. The law stipulates that in an emergency, rescue workers arrive at the scene within 15 minutes in 95 percent of cases.
The target was missed most often with only 81 percent in Spree-Neisse. In Oberspreewald-Lausitz and Ostprignitz-Ruppin it was still 84 percent. In 2012, all four independent cities and two districts had reached the legal quota!
