The new Bundesliga market values have provided great upsetting or devaluing with players such as Nick Woltemade, Tom Bischof and Serge Gnabry. Reschke about Woltemade: “The Stuttgarters would definitely not sell him for that”
At Werder, Woltemade was under contract by 2024 and has been one of the most form -strong players in the Bundesliga since last December. The “Bild” recently reported that VfB would only be ready to talk from a transfer fee of 40 million euros. In Stuttgart, it is apparently assumed that Woltemades will continue to increase the market value. This is also very possible from a transfer market perspective with constant development and nomination for the national team. It is important to repeat that the market values that have been a fixed size in the TM player profiles since October 2004 should not predict the transfer (for market value definition).
Reschke continues: “Even if the basis for the work of a manager in professional football is different and the market values are often considered with a smile: of course there is a certain truth that young players who are establishing themselves are increasing significantly. Therefore, the trend is often true, especially for younger players.”
The biggest winner was the Mainz international Jonathan Burkardt, who was directly involved in 18 goals in 22 Bundesliga games. Reschke says: “If you take Johnny Burkardt, the market value of which has risen by ten million to 35 million euros according to TM: This is a transfer value that is roughly close to reality – but is rather bigger.”
