Republicans leader invited to participate in Capitol storming investigation

Kevin McCarthy, the leader of the Republicans in the House of Representatives, was invited on Wednesday to testify before the House Committee investigating Donald Trump’s role in the storming of the Capitol. The House number two had not replied on Wednesday evening, but given his party’s opposition to the committee’s work, it seems unlikely that he will accept the invitation.
