Bremen (dpa) – Bundesliga promoted Werder Bremen is interested in the former national player Niklas Stark from Hertha BSC, according to a report in the “Bild” newspaper.
The 27-year-old defender will leave Berlin in the summer after seven years and will be available on a free transfer after his contract expires. “Bild” described the talks between Stark and those responsible in Bremen as “very promising”.
After returning to the Bundesliga, Werder recently signed defender Amos Pieper from Arminia Bielefeld on a free transfer.
