With 37 players, France is the strongest legionnaires group in the Bundesliga this season, which could continue to grow, because the Bundesliga clubs are apparently already looking for French reinforcements in Spain: Like the “L’Equipe” reported, attacker Randy Nteka from the Spanish first division club Rayo Vallecano at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim is on the list. With a market value of 4 million euros, he is the second most valuable professional of the team from the Vallecas district of Madrid.
Born in Paris, he joined the Franjirrojos for €1.3m last summer, for whom he has played 20 games (three goals/two assists) so far. Nteka, who is under contract with his club until 2026, is considered to be versatile in attack and was not only on the pitch as a striker, but also as a winger and midfielder. According to reports, several European clubs are interested in the player in addition to the Kraichgauer, including Crystal Palace and another unnamed Bundesliga club.
6x FC Bayern, 4x M’gladbach: The 37 French in the Bundesliga
Anthony Losilla (VfL Bochum) – market value: €500,000
Fally Mayulu (Wolfsburg), Mamadou Doucouré (Gladbach) and Soumaïla Coulibaly (BVB) are also among the Bundesliga squads, but have not yet played a role this season.
Abdourahmane Barry (Greuther Furth) – market value: €500,000
According to the report, there are talks, but not about a change in winter. The surprisingly strong promoted player would not plan to give up the attacker at short notice – in the summer, on the other hand, things could look different. Nteka, who has been waiting for a goal contribution since last October, was nonetheless among the winners in LaLiga’s latest update as he doubled his market value.
It took Nteka a few years before he made the leap into a first division. He only succeeded when he switched to Rayo. The Frenchman was previously active for FC Fuenlabrada in the Spanish lower house, where he played in both the second and third divisions. From the end of 2016 to the summer of 2017 he was already on the ball for Rayo B.
