Dozens of refugees have been sleeping in tents on the bridge over the Canal in Brussels for months, even now that temperatures are dropping to -7 degrees. They may have applied for asylum, but there are too few reception places and that leads to harrowing conditions. “The neighbors do more here than the government,” says Mohammad Asin (36). “However, someone has already been taken to the hospital.”
