Guerreiro said goodbye to Dortmund after seven years at the weekend. He played his first Bundesliga season under today’s Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel, who is to take over squad planning this summer together with Uli Hoeneß, Supervisory Board Chairman Herbert Hainer, Oliver Kahn’s successor Jan-Christian Dreesen and ex-boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Sky reports that it is unclear whether the newly formed leadership team will continue talks with Guerreiro’s Wasserman consulting agency. The Portuguese was one of the best players in the league in the second half of the season and played a key role in BVB’s race to catch up.

Update June 2, 7:00 p.m.: According to data from sky Guerreiro is also a transfer target for FC Bayern under the new management with Rummenigge & Co. However, there is currently no talk of an agreement.

The possible move from Dortmund to Munich is hotly debated in the TM rumor mill – it would be the sixth of this kind and the second free transfer after Robert Lewandowski in 2014. User “Patty” writes: “Guerreiro often played in midfield under Tuchel, which is why I did too assume that he is scheduled for midfield. However, I think that he is not only planned for the eighth position, but also as a backup for the left flank. Since Bayern played very often in the 4-2-3-1 system under Tuchel, Guerreiro would be a potential backup for three positions.” In his season under Tuchel, the then newly crowned European champion played 28 of his 35 games in central or left midfield and collected 16 scorer points.

FC Bayern: Coach Tuchel calls West Ham’s Rice

“Sky” also reports that Tuchel is said to have telephoned transfer target Declan Rice (24) from West Ham United. The defensive midfielder wants to take the next step towards becoming a top international club this summer and is said to cost around 100 million euros. The Englishman is one of the most valuable footballers without Champions League experience – he could also collect it at Arsenal, who are also vying for his services.
