Bally seems to have stopped production in Switzerland.
The Swiss luxury brand will no longer produce at its headquarters in Caslano, reports the Italian specialist media La Conceria. Accordingly, the remaining 27 employees will lose their jobs and only around 100 employees will remain employed in the offices. However, local unions are concerned that they could also be affected by future layoffs.
Since August 2024, Bally has belonged to the US investment company Regent, which also owns the German brand Escada. Since the takeover, this is said to have cut around 65 jobs at the Caslano location, the medium continued. Subsequently, the Italian subsidiary Bally Studio was closed and the activities of the Bally Foundation were discontinued.
At the beginning of the year, Mario Grauso was appointed as the new CEO and successor to Ennio Fontana.
