According to Swiss media reports, Arminia Bielefeld is about to sign Italian coach Uli Forte. At Yverdon, the coach averaged 1.47 points per game and finished the season in eighth out of ten in the Challenge League. Forte previously worked for Young Boys Bern, Grasshopper Zurich, FC St. Gallen and FC Zurich. In February he was traded as a candidate at Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Goalkeeping coach Marco Kostmann had coached the team since Frank Kramer separated after 13 months on April 20, but was unable to slow down the sporting downward trend of the penultimate table.
