Reopening of command bunker on Kemmelberg

The command bunker dates from the cold war, when the USSR was the major threat to the west. But with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, history suddenly becomes very topical again.

Visitors view the historic monument through a completely different lens. The fear of a nuclear, chemical or biological threat gives the command bunker a current experience, which suddenly comes very close.
