Renze Klamer, Yvonne Coldeweijer and Jan Slagter have made it to the top five most astonishing TV events of 2025. “Why? No progress at all!”
We are in the last weeks of the year and that means that the ever cheerful TV authority Tina Nijkamp, also known in the corridors as Tina Telraam, will be showering us with retrospective lists in the coming weeks. The first list is a fact: the top five most amazing TV events of 2025.
Eus scandal
The bottom line on Tina’s list? “Jan Slagter who fired presenter Özcan Akyol at Shownieuws,” she writes on her analysis channel. “After years of NPO scandals and countless reports about how to treat each other more politely, this was yet another old-fashioned example of broadcaster behavior.”
Number four is the hypocrisy of RTL’s TV boss Peter van der Vorst. “RTL that runs a ‘be sweet’ campaign, but in the meantime launches trailers with ‘I’ll knock the damn teeth out of your damn mouth’.”
Juice show Yvonne
Yvonne Coldeweijer ends up in third place of Tina’s most amazing TV events. “John de Mol who gave Yvonne Coldeweijer her own show on Net5. Current status: a lot of arguing behind the scenes and still no show on TV.”
The silver goes to the public broadcaster, she continues. “The constant whining from the NPO bosses about the cuts but not wanting to do anything in terms of wage sacrifices or cutting broadcasters and/or management layers.”
Run away from Tonight
First place goes – how could it be otherwise – to the late-evening drama on RTL 4. Tina was very surprised by it: “The RTL talk show that was exchanged for RTL Tonight. Why? No progress. About half viewers left.”
