Renze Klamer gets a big blow from TV great Koos Postema. The former Classmates presenter, who turns 90 the day after tomorrow, calls him a ‘nasty boy’.
According to Koos Postema, it is shocking how NPO 1 has squandered the time slot of De Wereld Draait Door. The talk show has been followed by programs such as De Vooravond, M and Khalid & Sophie. “That seven o’clock program was really destroyed by the people who were put there. Incomprehensible,” said the TV celebrity in the NRC.
Sneer at Renze
Koos thinks it’s all mediocre presenters. “If you first Matthijs [Van Nieuwkerk] – who took ten years to get that good – don’t let these people present there. That is such a poignant contrast.”
And what about Renze Klamer? He apparently did so well in De Vooravond that he has now received a contract with RTL 4. “You shouldn’t do that either. Nasty, self-righteous boy. Doesn’t appeal to me at all.”
“Duos don’t work!”
He also finds Op1 moderate. “Five duos at Op1 really doesn’t work. I especially like those women. Those men are different. I think Tijs van den Brink is a good boy. Very modest, too modest for television. But he is good at interviewing. Sven Kockelmann could get better. He’s not there yet, but that could come.”
Which Op1 host does Koos hate? “I have absolutely nothing to do with someone like Jort Kelder. He asks a question and then looks into his own camera. That is of such unimaginable vanity…”
Love Beau
Koos does like to watch another RTL 4 talk show host. “Do you know who I like? That Beau van Erven Dorens. Only man, a charmer who really knows how to connect with people. I see him talk and feel that his involvement is real.”
If Beau is not on the tube, Koos prefers to skip. “I really like News Hour. I am a fan of Mariëlle Tweebeeke. But most talk shows don’t need me.”
