Renze Klamer makes way for repeats, viewing figures on the rise

Painful but true: the late evening of RTL 4 is on the rise now that Renze Klamer is off the tube with his talk show. The successor, repeats of residential programs, manages to score more viewers.

August would actually be the month in which Renze Klamer would make his debut as a talk show host on RTL 4. However, the producer who makes all late talk shows for the channel, PilotStudio, was in desperate need of a holiday. That is why Humberto Tan experienced an extra short season in June and Renze went on to broadcast in July.

Repetition beats Renze

Renze has scored reasonable viewing figures, but it was not all that great. This is also apparent now that Renze is off the air and his successor, repeats of residential programs, scores even better. Where Renze received 574 thousand viewers last Monday, the repeat of Buy Without Watching had 626 thousand (19 percent) yesterday.

It is striking, according to viewing figures professor Tina Nijkamp. Buying Without Watching also scores excellent in the repeat and even better than the talk show RENZE. Martijn Krabbé’s program is also a true hit in the repeat among the target group 20 to 54 years: 23.1 percent market share versus 16.0 percent for RENZE,” she says on her website. ratings juice channel.

Competition suffers

RTL 4 only makes it difficult for the competition now that Renze is off the tube again. “Buying Without Watching also scores a lot higher than Op1: yesterday they only scored 10.8 percent in the (…) target group. Hart scored 11.5 and Shownieuws 9.9 percent. Op1 and Shownieuws in particular seem to suffer a lot from Buy Without Watching.”

Last week Op1 and Shownieuws scored well above 14 percent in the target group, says Tina. It is of course not pleasant for Renze to hear that a random repetition scores better than the talk show for which he has worked so fanatically for a month.

Smartest Human on one

De Slimste Mens, in which Maarten van Rossem expressed his disgust for Martien Meiland, was the big winner in prime time with 1.5 million viewers (33 percent) on NPO 2 yesterday. Nieuwsuur subsequently attracted 716 thousand viewers (19 percent).

NPO 1 took silver with MAX Vakantieman (1.1 million and 25 percent). Immediately afterwards, Het Familiediner kicked off with 782 thousand viewers (21 percent). RTL 4 managed to entertain 852 thousand viewers (20 percent) with B&B Vol Liefde.

Viewing figures

Programs that did not make the top 15 include Hart van Nederland (474 thousand), Shownieuws (359 thousand), 112 Today (328 thousand), BoerenBIbs en Beauties (225 thousand) and Shownieuws Zomeredition (121 thousand).
