René van der Gijp thinks that Yvonne Coldeweijer’s new juice show will not score. “It doesn’t even go too far, but I don’t think people are looking forward to that, man.”
You would think that Yvonne Coldeweijer is not afraid of the devil, but she does not dare to challenge the men of Today Inside. She doesn’t want to be in a program with people who hate her, she says. And yesterday the men of VI showed once again that they are indeed not fans of the abdicated juice queen.
Evil
Johan Derksen cannot understand in his mind that John de Mol is hoisting this lady on the shield. “I also find that incomprehensible. The De Mol family has been really damaged by the juice channels and also by her and to put her back on the horse with a juice show for the viewing figures…”, he says in Today Inside.
He continues: “I think juice crosses the red line and as a broadcaster you should no longer want to have anything to do with that. Ordinary is fine, but I think juice is evil.”
Gide critically
This will be a flop, thinks René van der Gijp. “I also have a similar feeling with juice… That’s what I like about RTL Boulevard, that it all takes half a minute, twenty seconds. Juice that you’re going to dig out straight away, nobody wants that, right? It doesn’t even go too far, but I don’t think people are looking forward to that, man.”
Johan: “I don’t rule out that it will get viewing figures.”
René: “No, I don’t think so.”
Clock right
Johan thinks so. “Because it is of course about Gordon and Hazes Jr. and Borsato. You can set the clock accordingly.”
What Rob Goossens, the TV expert from RTL Boulevard, thinks about it? “It is a channel that people do not automatically zap to, but yes, if you put nice people at the table, you can attract 200,000 viewers a day,” he says in that show section.
What does Wendy think?
Talpa star Wendy van Dijk is not keen. She says, also in the show section: “I understand very well that that works online, because that was of course a bit against television and against the big bad television world or something. Like: I am that naughty girl who does something. I don’t know if that will also work on TV.”
TV critic Victor Vlam writes X: “Net5 is not in the routine of many TV viewers. That makes it difficult to score a lot of viewers. On the other hand: with 300,000 you are easily the most watched program on the channel.”
