Willy and René van de Kerkhof have mixed feelings about the competition. According to the brothers, PSV performed much better than last year, but the loss of the title is still stuck. The PSV icons also fear the departure of top players such as Sangaré and Gakpo. René is now mainly afraid that one player will stay in Eindhoven. “It’s not Bruma, it’s drama!”
The degradation of neighbor Willem II also hurts the brothers, they say in the Willy and René Podcast. “But it’s your own fault. They simply woke up too late in Tilburg,” says Willy. “It is also a shame for PSV and RKC that the derbies against Willem II are now cancelled. PSV has not won much in Tilburg in recent years, but they were always fun matches.”
