René Froger returns to the oncollegial statements he made at the talk show table of the Oranjezomer. “It is completely pulled out of context and misinterpreted.”
They were remarkable statements that René Froger made on Monday evening in the Oranjezomer: the singer indicated that he was bothered by new talent that demands 10,000 euros per performance after one hit. He seemed to go to Samuel Welten, known for that song about a Maserati and a house in Bali. That boy is cashing now because you never know how long it takes.
Out of connection
However, René does not think that is good tactic; According to him, you have to build it all quietly. And he received a lot of criticism of those on -collegial statements. He is now coming back to that in a long statement Instagram. “Last week I was allowed to be a guest in a broadcast of the Oranjezomer.”
He continues: “Some statements from me – perhaps a little too unclearly explained by me – are being completely pulled out of their context on social media and other channels.”
Incredibly proud
What does René want to say? “First of all, I want to clarify that I am extremely proud that the Dutch repertoire finally gets the place it deserves. Many artists have fought for their place for years and went from sports canteen to pub to learn the tricks of the trade.”
He continues: “Making old -fashioned meters: this works, that doesn’t work. Investing in yourself and your career. Respect! Such an artist is Yves Berendse, for example, his success does not come overnight. There is more than ten years of blood, sweat and tears. Besides that he is also a good singer.”
Popularity
René is annoyed by Tiktoken popular artists. “What I mainly meant in the broadcast is that due to the rise of certain social media channels, some” singers “are suddenly there because of their popularity on those platforms.”
“That is of course a nice side effect. But some of these ‘artists’ forget that you must have made meters for a good performance and being an artist – and that you sometimes also have to have certain talents.”
Work hard
You have to earn such a gage, René concludes. “In the past you had to work very hard, scoring multiple hits and long-term thinking your gage build up. Nowadays there is one hit, the agenda is crammed for mega gages, and rams but. Long term and good guidance are often no longer there.”
“The performance is therefore often substandard. Nowadays we are going to disappear for the quick success and filling the bags as quickly as possible. The real craftsmanship and love for the profession are disappearing – and I just find that very unfortunate.”
