The 64-year-old Froger denounced in the broadcast artists who have ‘one song’, but ask a lot of money for performances. He mentioned no names.

‘Statements Froger pulled out of bandage’

According to Froger, some statements “on social media and other channels are completely pulled out of their context or incorrectly interpreted,” he now writes on Instagram.

“What I mainly meant in the broadcast is that due to the rise of certain social media channels, some ‘singers’ suddenly there are because of their popularity on those platforms. That is of course a nice side effect,” says Froger.

“But some of these ‘artists’ forget that you must have made meters for a good performance and being an artist – and that you sometimes also have to have certain talents.”

Fill bags as quickly as possible

“In the past you had to work through very hard, scoring several hits and long-term thinking you build your gage. Nowadays there is one hit, the agenda is crammed for mega gages, and rams,” says Froger. “We are going to fill the bags as quickly as possible nowadays,” writes the 64-year-old singer, who states that the “real craft and love for the profession” are disappearing. “And I just find that very unfortunate.”
