The range of the compact SUV expands with the 120 HP Eco-G petrol and LPG engine, designed for those who cover many kilometres. Up to 1,400 km of autonomy and price list starting from 25,900 euros

March 22 – 3.09pm – MILAN

Renault Symbioz exceeds 100 thousand orders and expands the range with a new engine. The French C-segment SUV introduces a bi-fuel version, designed for those who travel many kilometers and seek low running costs. The engine is the well-known 1.2-litre three-cylinder 120 HP, new for the Symbioz but already used on other Renault group models, from the Captur to the Dacia Duster. With the two tanks full of petrol and LPG it guarantees up to 1,400 km of autonomy.

RANGE

The Renault Symbioz range is now divided up three engines. At the base is the 1.3-liter mild hybrid with 140 HP and 240 Nm of torque. The flagship offering is represented by the 1.8-litre full E-Tech hybrid with 158 system hp and 265 Nm of torque, offered only with automatic transmission and capable of emitting less than 100 g/km of Co2 in the approval cycle. A third option is added, probably the most suitable for those who travel many kilometers and are looking for low running costs, filling the absence of a diesel. It is the 1.2 liter Eco-G with dual fuel, petrol and LPG.

BIFUEL

The main specifications of the new Eco-G 120 HP engine from Renault Symbioz:

  • 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo engine
  • Power: 120 HP (90 kW)
  • Maximum torque: 200 Nm
  • Acceleration 0-100 km/h: 12 seconds

  • Overall autonomy: up to 1,400 kilometers (declared data)
  • CO2 emissions: 116 grams/km on LPG and 133 g/km on petrol.

AVAILABILITY AND PRICE

The Renault Symbioz with 120 HP Eco-G engine can already be ordered, with the first deliveries expected from April. The SUV price list thus has a new starting price. Previously, prices started at just over 28 thousand euros for the 140 HP mild hybrid in Evolution trim with manual gearbox. A version that is destined to disappear from the scene, while the TCe will remain combined with the 7-speed automatic only. With the introduction of bifuel, the starting price drops to 25,900 euros for the Eco-G 120 HP with manual gearbox (only option at the moment) and Evolution setup.
