Ricardo Quaresma, one of Beşiktaş’s legendary football players, spoke to the Portuguese press about Turkish football.
Speaking about Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray in his interview with Record Gaming, the Portuguese star said, “Frankly, I’m sorry, because Beşiktaş is far from competing for the cups it aims to achieve. There is a team that I like neither as a squad nor as the football played. To be honest, I think they should be more careful in choosing both players and coaches.” he said.

Stating that he wants to see Beşiktaş fighting shoulder to shoulder with Galatasaray next season, Quaresma said, “Of course, I feel sad as a fan. It makes me sad to see my club go through such a period. But this is the nature of football. I hope they will be at a level to compete with Galatasaray next season. Fenerbahçe is not much better than Beşiktaş, but I see a very strong Galatasaray in the league right now. In terms of the squad and the coach, as a fan, I am not happy at all.” he said.
