Fortuna Düsseldorf is bringing in reinforcements for the defense. As Transfermarkt has learned, defensive talent Joshua Quarshie is on loan from TSG Hoffenheim. The 19-year-old central defender has already said goodbye to his teammates.
Quarshie moved to the Hoffenheim reserves in 2022 and made his first and only professional appearance last season in a 2-1 defeat against VfL Wolfsburg. He continued to collect playing time in the second team, for which he played 45 games (2 goals/1 assist). For Quarshie, the move to Düsseldorf is also a return to his old place of work, as he already played in the Fortuna youth team in the 2019/20 season. He is the Rhinelander’s second winter transfer after Christoph Daferner (26; on loan from Nuremberg).
