Italian Lorenzo Sonego defeated American Learner Tien 3-1 (6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1) and reached the quarter-finals of the grand slam tournaments for the first time in his career.
In the quarter-finals, Sinner will compete with the winner of the Alex Michelsen-Alex de Minaur (8) match, and Sonego will fight with the winner of the Gael Monfils-Ben Shelton (21) match.

Ukrainian Elina Svitolina (28) won 2-0 against Russian tennis player Veronika Kudermetova with sets ending 6-4, 6-1 and became Keys’ opponent in the quarter-finals.
