The move from national soccer player Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund is also worthwhile for SpVgg Unterhaching.
The regional league is involved in the transfer fee and possible bonus payments. The share is said to be 22 percent. With a base amount of 30 million euros that Dortmund pays to Salzburg, this would be 6.6 million euros for the former Bundesliga club.
“Of course, this signature marks an extraordinary day in our club’s history. This is the first big harvest of our youth work,” said Unterhaching’s President Manni Schwabl to Münchner Merkur/tz. The 20-year-old Adeyemi had played for FC Bayern in his youth, but had been sorted out there and taken on by Haching. The current fee should be “invested sustainably,” said Schwabl.
Ex-national player Schwabl is considered a great sponsor of Adeyemi – and he has already generated a large sum through him. The future Dortmund player moved from Unterhaching to Salzburg in 2018 for a fee of 3.35 million euros. The Austrian series champion initially loaned Adeyemi to his “farm team” FC Liefering for two years.
BVB is now the right club for Adeyemi, emphasized Schwabl. “I am happy that his parents have always remained reasonable and have never urged him to go to England right now. Karim can take the next step in development in Dortmund”, with a view to the World Cup this year and the EM 2024 in Germany be this ideal. “At some point, I’m sure he’ll play in the Premier League anyway.”
