The story of the new experience in the First Category of the former Monza and Fiorentina striker. And on the purple market: “Fiorentina should take two players to be complete.”
41 years old, but he really doesn’t want to hang up his shoes. And from what his performances say, albeit in amateur championships, he does well. On the new experience with Catona
—
“It’s a new experience and it’s nice, because in any case I came to a place where I know people and people love me. I don’t care if it’s the First Category, I wanted to continue having fun even when I stopped with Real Casalnuovo, but several teams were afraid that I could no longer play in Serie D due to my age even though I had made 31 appearances, 10 goals and 5 assists. At that point I had this chat with some friends of mine, good people here from Reggio Calabria, and I found an agreement to try to help Catona move up in category, given that they wanted to try to go to Excellence, even if it’s not easy. I accepted this new adventure very seriously and I hope to give my contribution to this team which, I must say, does not seem first class in terms of how it is organized and the quality it expresses. I’m very motivated, also because for me football is joy and fun, I like being around the kids, laughing and joking, and I’m very happy with the opportunity that Catona has given me. I really want to get back into the game, even if in the First Category, which is a championship, among other things, not as easy as you think. Even on Saturday, for example, we met a team that gave us a hard time, and in which there were people who knew how to play football (Catona drew 1-1 with RC Gallina Calcio, with a goal from Reginaldo (ed.)”.
