The corona pandemic continues to cause all kinds of infected people. Now it has caught Bundesliga referee Patrick Ittrich. He will have to rest at least this weekend.
Referee Patrick Ittrich is also ill with Covid-19. “The year 2022 started so semi, folks,” Ittrich wrote on Twitter on Friday: “After a calf strain healed, Corona followed directly. Slowly things should go uphill.”
He was “still out this weekend,” Ittrich wrote, “but I’m in good spirits.” Most recently, the 43-year-old took charge of the game between 1. FC Köln and FC Augsburg (0:2) in the Bundesliga in mid-December.
The Bundesliga took a break last weekend due to an international break. When and where exactly Ittrich got infected, he did not announce.
