A referee became unconscious on Saturday after a mistreatment on a football field in Veldhoven. The violence took place during the game between the fourth team of SV Rood-Wit from Veldhoven and the third team of SV De Braak from Helmond. The police will announce this this Monday.
From the kick -off, the atmosphere was ‘grim’, the police written on Instagram. Shortly before the end of the game, around half past three, the flame hit the pan.
“A few people went to get a story from the referee,” said the police. The arbitrator was thereby mistreated in such a way that he fell out of consciousness and suffered a lot of injury.
It is still unclear how many people were involved in the abuse. To find out the perpetrators, the police call on witnesses to report. There is also a request for photos and video material of the violence on the football field.
