DOW JONES–Redcare Pharmacy has grown significantly over the past year. As the mail order pharmacy operator announced, group sales climbed by 32 percent to 2.4 billion euros and were therefore within the self-imposed sales range of 2.35 to 2.5 billion euros. Sales of non-prescription drugs (Non-Rx) increased by 21 percent to 1.6 billion euros, while sales of prescription drugs increased to 749 million euros, 64 percent more than in the previous year.
In the final quarter, group sales rose by 27 percent to 674 million euros, with non-Rx sales growing by 22 percent and prescription drug sales by 37 percent. Sales of prescription drugs in Germany shot up by 142 percent to 97 million euros in the fourth quarter.
At the end of the year, the MDAX group had 12.5 million active customers, an increase of 1.7 million compared to the previous year. With 600,000 customers, the largest increase occurred in the final quarter.
“The past year was exceptional for Redcare,” said CEO Olaf Heinrich. “The electronic prescription has become the new standard in Germany. Through the successful introduction of our fully digital Rx journey and targeted marketing campaigns, we were able to quickly acquire numerous new Rx customers who benefit from our innovative solution. The growth rate of our Rx Revenue jumped from 7 percent in the first quarter to 142 percent in the fourth quarter.”
Redcare Pharmacy will publish its annual report for 2024 on March 11th.
