Red Wing charity auction to benefit Ukrainian refugees

In light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, American heritage brand Red Wing is holding a charity auction featuring nine rare Red Wing models from the brand’s archive. All of the proceeds go to the international, independent organization Doctors Without Borders (www.aerzte-ohne-grenzen.de), which uses it to directly support refugees from the Ukraine.

The models available are unique collector’s items and all-time classics from Red Wing for him and her from the past decades.

The auction runs until Sunday, April 10, 2022, 20:00 CET.

There are currently many people in the world who have to leave everything behind and are forced to seek refuge in another country. Especially in these difficult times it is important to stick together and help each other.

The organizers of this charity auction are the two Red Wing Brand Stores in Berlin (@redwingberlin) and Amsterdam (@redwingamsterdam).

About

Authentic, durable and timeless: While many brands like to adorn themselves with the “Heritage” label, Red Wing can look back on over 110 years of history with a real innovation and pioneering spirit. Founded by German immigrant Charles Beckmann, the Minnesota company started out making shoes for the tough guys who laid railroad tracks and mined coal in the early 1900s. The highlight: Instead of uncomfortable standard shoes, thanks to Red Wing, work shoes were available in different sizes for the first time. Since the beginning of the Red Wing Shoe Company, the leather from which the shoes are made has been tanned in the company’s own SB Foot Tannery. The leather used is extremely robust and thus guarantees the longevity of the shoes.
