Red -haired people have never had it easy. This is due to the fact that they only make two percent of humanity and that is why they are a rarity. In addition, they have been occupied with all sorts of myths for centuries. Women were once considered witches because of their red hair, but also particularly attractive. The latter has so far not been used by male redheads. In the past, women often expressed in surveys that they felt red hair as an abdomen.
That apparently changed a lot – because of Ed Sheeran. The red -haired pop singer sells millions of records and hardly makes any effort to appear as a kind of sex symbol. But apparently the women’s world finds exactly that. As a British study commissioned by Casumo proves, one of five red -haired redheads between the ages of 25 and 34 receives more attention from the female gender than was the case in the past.
Jokes have become fewer
In addition, the respondents reported that less jokes were now made about their hair color. According to a spokesman for Casumo, the phenomenon can primarily be attributed to Ed Sheeran’s long -lasting charter success. Every third woman surveyed stated that her preference for the red hair color would be related to the musician.

But it doesn’t just apply to the singer and the world of men. The other way around, stars like Isla Fisher (“Nocturnal Animals”) and Emma Watson also ensure that red hair is considered sexy again.
“Ed Sheeran has proven that his appearance was absolutely no meaning for his talent,” said the Casumo spokesman. Overall, redheads would also be perceived as an average. 1,000 women and 175 fire creatures were interviewed for the study.
