As record champions SK Rapid announced on Thursday evening, Isak Jansson leaves the Hütteldorfer with immediate effect: the 23-year-old Swede changes to OGC Nice to France. Jansson came to 22 Bundesliga missions for green-white in the past season, in which he scored seven goals.

The Swede came to Vienna from the second Spanish league in February 2024 and was then brought to Hütteldorf for 250,000 euros in May 2024. Now Nice is supposed to cost the services of the wing striker almost 10 million euros – this makes Jansson the most expensive departure in Rapid’s club history.

“On the one hand, I am very pleased that with our assessment of the qualities of Isak Jansson a year and a half ago, on the other hand, we would of course have liked to have it a little longer in our ranks. But the fact is that we have now made a decision together that a change makes sense for everyone involved. Isak, whom I would like to thank you for his efforts and a lot of success and health, would also like to take the step into one of the top 5-leaf Europe. We would like to give him this opportunity, ”said Rapid’s managing director Markus Katzer about the sale.
