The offshore wind turbines produced a record amount of electricity in February. This concerns 1.009 million megawatt hours (MWh). “That is an absolute record”, says Annemie Vermeylen of the Belgian Offshore Platform and federal energy minister Tinne Van der Straeten (Groen). That record has a lot to do with the high production during the storm of ten days ago.
