Record number of 526,507 long-term ill and disabled people in our country in 2023

At the end of 2023, our country had 526,507 long-term ill and disabled people: a record. This is evident from the new annual figures of the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (RIZIV), writes ‘De Tijd’ today. This only concerns employees and self-employed persons, civil servants are not included in the figures.
