Nicolas Jackson will not switch to FC Bayern – a different name is now coming to the fore of the transfer efforts of the Munich. It is a well -known name from the Bundesliga.

Nicolas Jackson’s targeted commitment does not become anything for FC Bayern: On the home stretch of the transfer, Jackson’s club FC Chelsea still had a veto on Saturday evening – although the Senegalese had already traveled to Munich for medical check.

“Chelsea informed us that you would like to have the player back after we agreed yesterday,” said Bayern sports director Max Eberl after the 3-2 (2-0) of the German record champions at FC Augsburg. “Now is the situation that the boy is here in Munich and that we send the boy back”.

Now, however, the Munich -based company should have another attacker in the last hours of the transfer period that ends on September 1st. The transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported on Saturday evening: FC Bayern think of a goal scorer of a direct Bundesliga competitor-Loïs Openda from RB Leipzig.

According to this, the Munichers should also target a loan with a subsequent purchase option. According to Tavolieri, the door to a transfer is “far open”.

The Belgian Openda still has a contract in Leipzig until June 30, 2028, but is considered a candidate for sale – also because the Saxons probably want to sign Conrad Harder from Sporting Lisbon.

With the 25-year-old, Bayern would get a top striker: in 93 competitive games for Leipzig since moving to the club in 2023, Openda scored 41 goals, prepared 18 more goals. In the current season, however, the attacker has only been used sporadically under the new Leipzig coach Ole Werner.
