New Senior Year Rebel Wilson, 42, who stars in the film, says in a recent interview that she wanted to bring a lot of respect to the filming in addition to her heartfelt hilarity.

– Because there are a lot of young people on the cast, I wanted a lot of respect for everyone, the Oscar presenter tells People.

The idea stems from Wilson’s experience years ago, when he himself was not treated with equal appreciation. Wilson says he has been harassed by a male colleague.

– He asked me to the room and pulled his own pants down, the actor recalls and adds that the man also asked to do obscenities in front of his friends.

– It was terrible and disgusting. This was all before the me too campaign, they were trying to destroy me and my career. If everything had happened after the campaign, I could have destroyed them.

Wilson also has the training of a lawyer and did everything he could in the situation even though he did not speak about it in public.

– Since I’m a lawyer, I picked it all up. I called my representative. I had certain things in writing.

– I made sure people in the industry found out what had happened.

Even after years, it wears out Wilson’s mind.

– Why did I get into that situation, with that awful guy? I should have left. At the same time, I thought, “well, do it right and be professional, finish the movie.” Now I would never do that again.

– I thought that complaining to my representative and the company was a big step. I found out I was the fourth to complain about the guy. So disgusting to use, but many other women have experienced much worse.

Wilson says he could now defend himself better.

– I would do it because of other women who have defended themselves and robbed me of the same opportunity.
