World’s Most Valuable Left-Back
It was recently reported that Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies is a transfer target from Real Madrid. Now the “Royal” are apparently taking the next step. As the “mark“ writes, the Spanish runners-up asked Munich about the 22-year-old left-back to explore his chances of a possible transfer. The answer from the German record champions was “no categorical no”.

According to the report, members of the Madrilenians’ sporting management have recently been to Munich twice to see Davies up close and speak to his entourage. With a market value of 70 million euros, the Canadian national player is one of the most valuable players in the Bayern squad, in his position he is valued the most in the world – and at Real there is a need on the left side of defence. Only Ferland Mendy is planned for the position, because he was out for a long time recently, midfielder Eduardo Camavinga moved to the wing – including in the Champions League semi-finals against Man City. David Alaba has also been placed in this position several times this season.

Apart from the rumored interest in Davies, coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed the return of left-back Fran García at the weekend, with the “Royal” reportedly making use of a buyback clause of over 10 million euros. FC Bayern is aiming for an extension with Davies
It seems unlikely that FC Bayern will let Davies go at the moment, because the club is aiming to work with the left foot beyond 2025. An extension has been a topic for a long time. In March, the “Sport Bild” reported that talks with the 39-time national player would soon be pending.
