After the TM community voted Jude Bellingham the best Bundesliga professional of the year for his performance at Borussia Dortmund in 2022/23, the 20-year-old midfielder has now been awarded the prestigious “Golden Boy” award. Real Madrid’s summer signing was reported in a report published by the Italian newspaper “TuttosportThe vote received 97 percent of the votes.
The award is based on the talents who stood out for their clubs and national teams through particularly good performances within the last calendar year – i.e. across all seasons. Condition: You must be under 21 years old and have played in Europe during the relevant evaluation period. Bellingham, the third most valuable footballer in the world after his market value increased to 150 million euros in October, had previously won the Kopa Trophy as the best youngster at the Ballon d’Or award ceremony.

Bellingham follows Gavi (19) from FC Barcelona. The list of 100 names published in June was gradually reduced over the months – with a final cut in October, so that only 25 talents were eligible for the final vote. The most nominations for the final were from French talent (four) ahead of Spanish talent (three). Jamal Musiala (20) from FC Bayern, Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz (20) and RB Leipzig’s PSG loanee Xavi Simons (20) were represented from the Bundesliga.
In addition to a vote by fans, 50 journalists from the most important European media voted, including “L’Équipe”, “Marca”, “The Times”, “Bild”, “France Football”, “De Telegraaf”, “La Gazzetta dello Sport”. “ and “Look”, with a points system to determine the winner.
