In the 37th week of the Spanish La Liga, the champion Real Madrid hosted Cadiz on the road.
The match played at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla ended 1-1 with mutual goals.
Real Madrid took the lead with Mariano Diaz’s goal in the 5th minute of the match, and Cadiz caught the equalization with Sobrino’s goal in the 37th minute and the first half ended 1-1.
Longing for points in the second half, Cadiz missed the penalty. Former Beşiktaş player Alvaro Negredo could not benefit from the penalty kick in the 61st minute. Although Real Madrid had the advantage of the game in the remaining minutes, both teams could not evaluate the goal positions they captured and the match ended 1-1.
