Do you feel as young/old as you are?
„Jonger! Ik ben als 14-jarig koffiemeisje in de bruidsmodezaak van Jos en Jo Koonings gaan werken. Binnen no-time ontwikkelde ik me tot een succesvolle verkoopster. Toen ik op mijn zeventiende de kans kreeg om samen met mijn moeder de zaak over te nemen, heb ik deze met beide handen aangegrepen. Sindsdien is er eigenlijk weinig veranderd: ik help nog steeds bruiden, al zijn ze tegenwoordig vaak jonger dan ik, haha. Mijn moeder is inmiddels 75 en Works every day.

“It is every time a party to work with the TLC team. We are now in the meantime in the eighth season and are looking forward to it enormously every year. The format remains familiar, but this season they have found a number of surprising brides, including a woman who is incurably ill. That makes it extra special.”

Do you have a beauty secrecy?
“I go to the hairdresser every week to wash and blow -dry my hair. Sometimes even twice, to keep it nicely model. I am lucky that I just have that luxury in the house. It is a wonderful moment for myself, without anyone knowing where I am.”

Do you think a good night’s sleep is important?
“I don’t sleep much, on average about four hours a night. To relax, I take a sleeping a sleeping every night. My head is never out; I am constantly busy with new ideas and plans. I have been suffering from this since my childhood. Fortunately I don’t need much sleep.”
What do you like best about yourself?
“My character, I always have the best with someone else. And I am a go -getter. If I want something, I go one hundred percent for it. Last year I expanded my bridal fashion empire with a castle that will serve as a bridal fashion store, hotel and event location. Step by step I try to make everything in order. And as soon as I am finished.”

“In terms of appearance, I don’t find anything in particular. As a girl I have been pretty insecure, probably like many other ladies. Now that I have a child, I am especially happy that I am healthy. Of course I see on television that I have received some wrinkles, but I am not bothered by that. I am more than satisfied with myself!”
What are you less happy with?
“I wanted to be a little longer. I naturally have some curves at my waist and buttocks, and then a dress is just a bit nicer if you are ten centimeters longer. The long legs of someone of 1.75 meters … That just looks beautiful in a wedding dress.”

Very nice! Me and the other ladies can learn a lot from each other. Only all the drama did I have to get used to it, that’s really not for me. Although I learn from it too. It ensures that I learn to stand up for myself. We are already recording the new season, but I can’t say too much about that. Some things may be a bit over the top, but that makes it fun for the viewers. I think the end result is wonderful. I laughed about it, but also cried. “
Are you where you wanted to be?
“Yes, I have a beautiful son (4) that I am very happy with, but love … I had too little time for that. My focus was always at work. I hope to find the love of my life someday, and maybe get married. But everything in time!”

“Always keep believing in yourself. If you have dreams, you can make them come true – as long as you set goals and really go for it. Be wise with your money and try to save; it gives you the space to seize opportunities when they occur.”
