MAARSSEN – The police arrested 67-year-old businessman Jan-Dirk Paarlberg in his hometown of Maarssen on Wednesday afternoon. He is being held hostage on behalf of the Public Prosecution Service because he is unwilling or unable to pay a confiscation claim of fifteen million euros.
