Timo Werner reached a milestone on matchday 28 of the Bundesliga. In the home game against FC Augsburg, the attacker from RB Leipzig scored in the 32nd minute to make it 2-1, three minutes later he increased it to 3-1. His eight and nine goals this season were the Bundesliga goals 99 and 100 in his career.
As the 54th player in league history, Werner now has a three-digit number of goals. Of all the professionals still active in the Bundesliga, only Marco Reus (150 goals) and Thomas Müller (143) are ahead of the Leipzig record scorer. Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramaric could also reach the mark with 96 goals this season.
