“Still possible to negotiate”
Striker Alexander Sörloth, who was previously on loan at Real Sociedad, would like to leave RB Leipzig permanently and stay in Spain. “I like the club very much, even though I’ve been here less than a year. The fans are absolutely fantastic,” the Norway international told TV2.
The club from San Sebastian could have bought the 26-year-old by April 15 for 16 million euros, but missed this date. According to the “TV2” report, however, only to be able to freely negotiate a fee. “It’s still possible to negotiate, it’s still open,” said Sörloth. “It wouldn’t have been stupid if I’d stayed.”
The attacker came to Lepzig from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2020 for 20 million euros and was supposed to follow in the footsteps of Timo Werner, who had emigrated to England. After scoring six goals in 37 games, he was loaned to Spain.

Now Sörloth wants clarity in the near future. “I hope that it will be decided before the start of the season. That’s the goal of me and my advisor,” said the striker, who shouldn’t have a future in Leipzig. According to reports, RB has to be satisfied with about half of the transfer fee once paid. At Real Sociedad, Sörloth scored four goals in 33 league games.
