RB sports director starts in December
According to coach Marco Rose, the new sports director Max Eberl will take RB Leipzig to a new level. “I think he will set a lot of things on the right path there. A lot of things are already very professional in Leipzig, but Max will possibly bundle a few things and take a lot of people with him with his positive manner. That will do Leipzig good,” said the RB coach in the podcast “Einfach mal Luppen” with 2014 world champion Toni Kroos (32).

Rose, who worked with Eberl when he was at Borussia Mönchengladbach, is looking forward to the 49-year-old’s official arrival in mid-December. “Max has incredible expertise and experience, he started with the youth, has a great network, knows how football works. You can also talk to him about possible signings,” said the coach. Eberl is a “really great person, an absolute expert and a great boss”.
