Striker has release clause
At the latest since the secured Champions League participation, RB Leipzig can start with personnel planning for the coming season. On the transfer market, the Saxons want to add to the offensive, in recent weeks some names in the rumor mill have been associated with third place in the Bundesliga. Apparently, that includes Nicolas Jackson.
The 21-year-old Villarreal centre-forward is one of the high-flyers of the season and has increased his market value from 1 to 15 million euros. This should continue to rise given the balance of the last few weeks after the season. In April and May, Jackson struck nine times in nine LaLiga games – in the top five leagues only Newcastle United’s Callum Wilson (11 goals in 11 games) and Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema (10 in 9) had better goals over the same period.
Loud Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano RB Leipzig is one of a number of clubs that have the 1.88 meter right foot on the slip. Jackson is up for a €35m release clause in the contract.
