Brian Brobbey, loaned to Ajax by RB Leipzig, has made a clear statement about his future. “I’m not done in Amsterdam yet. If it was up to me, I would play for Ajax next season. One hundred percent,” said the 20-year-old offensive talent in an interview with “De Telegraaf“.
Brobbey only switched from Ajax to RB on a free transfer last summer, but was unable to assert himself there. The striker only made one start in the Bundesliga and one in the Champions League. Ajax had wanted to keep Brobbey, but according to advisor Mino Raiola, Leipzig offered a significantly better salary.

“It would be great if Ajax could buy me back,” admitted Brobbey, who – slowed down by a torn knee ligament – has scored three goals in five games for the Eredivisie leaders. Ajax would have to renegotiate with Leipzig for his wish, the loan deal does not include a purchase option. Brobbey is under contract with RB until 2025. Only when he returned to Ajax did the striker “realize how much I missed the club, the boys and the atmosphere”.
