Benjamin Henrichs from RB Leipzig is now on the road after his Achilles tendon tear in December last year. However, the prerequisite for this was a second surgical procedure, as he was in the fifth part of his documentary “Faith Over Fear“Tell” YouTube “.

Since the second operation, the path has been going up steeply, the 28-year-old said. “I can say that I can finally train normally.” The intervention was carried out in Munich in mid -April. In the beginning he had problems dealing with the renewed operation mentally. “I had the feeling that it starts again now.” There was severe pain preceded when he had put the stabilization shoe and the crutches.

But it turned out for the better. “I can say that I am at a point in training that I can train the calf so tired without pain that it just feels good,” said Henrichs. “I’ve been walking around with sore muscles for days, but I have no problem with it because I just have the feeling that the muscle is growing again. I am now in a training process that helps me.”

The 19-fold national player suffered the serious injury on December 20 at the Bundesliga game against FC Bayern (1: 5). On May 3, the Munich players play in Leipzig and could celebrate the title win there. Henrichs does not want to stress himself in his comeback. “I have to be there when I’m fine and I train as hard as it can,” he said in the documentation.

The Leipziger initially won Henrichs in 2020 for one season with a loan from the AS Monaco and committed him in 2021 for 12 million euros. In 168 games, he was directly involved in 26 goals for RB – his contract, which he extended in May 2024, is dated until 2028.
