Rayo Vallecano parts ways with coach Rodríguez – only one win since the end of October

Succession open

Rayo Vallecano has parted ways with coach Francisco Rodríguez with immediate effect. The LaLiga club announced this on Tuesday evening. The Madrilenians have not yet presented a successor.

After two wins at the start of the season, Rayo had steadily declined over the course of the season and slipped to 14th place. Since the end of October, the team from the Spanish capital has only had one win in 14 games. Rodríguez had only signed at the beginning of the new championship round after promotion coach Andoni Iraola, under whom Rayo managed to stay in the upper house twice by finishing twelfth in the table, had moved to AFC Bournemouth.
