Raymond Mens lashes out at Renze Klamer. He believes that the fallen talk show host of RTL 4 is doing shoddy work and calls him out on it. “This is really embarrassing!”
It could be that Henri Bontenbal, the leader of the CDA, will become the new Prime Minister of our country. The fact that he was attacked so hard by Jack van Gelder in De Oranjezomer in mid-August is an exception: he receives a warm welcome on most TV programs. He has been extensively praised for his civility and nuance.
Embarrassing
Bontenbal had it very easy again last night, this time as a guest in the Renze Klamer flop RTL Tonight. Today Inside star Raymond Mens was also in front of the TV and was shocked.
A real disgrace, says Raymond. He writes down X: “What an embarrassing conversation with Henri Bontenbal at RTL Tonight. Absolutely zero (!) questions from the panel about his plans, but only nonsense about image and voter surveys. It’s fine to discuss that, but don’t invite a party leader for that.”
Hot air
Raymond’s followers agree with him. “Bontenbal has nothing to say anyway. His standard answer is that the EU must make a stand, but what he himself wants or is going to do is absolutely nothing. Decency is hot air,” says a certain Rose.
And X-influencer Denkjewel says in response to Raymond’s tweet: “Well, Bontenbal is Hilversum’s favorite this election. He has been getting away with nodding in agreement with his meaningless one-liners for months.”
Two sizes
Critics believe that Raymond applies double standards. “Fortunately, Raymond Mens is extremely critical of Geert Wilders, and he explains to us every day that the PVV believes in fairy tales, and the man is a disaster for the Netherlands. Oh no, cuckoo. He doesn’t care one bit,” says a certain Mark.
“It is shameful that you whine about critical questions to Henri Bontenbal and are not at all critical of Geert Wilders who doesn’t get anywhere so he doesn’t have to answer critical questions. You are not consistent. You ACTING impartiality. Stop it man!”
