Raw Air: Althaus in top ten in comeback, ski jumping | Raw Air – Ski Jumping – Winter Sports

Old house with a successful comeback

After Katharina Althaus and Juliane Seyfarth missed the opening event after their corona infection, the two veterans of the German team were back in the game. The competition went well for Althaus: With solid jumps of 127.5 and 107.5 meters in difficult conditions, the silver medalist from Beijing finished her comeback in tenth place.

For Seyfarth, the competition ended after the first round: although the 32-year-old jumped 125.5 meters, she was disqualified because her suit didn’t conform to the rules.

Gorlich falls behind

In the first jump of 127 meters, everything fell into place for Luisa Görlich. In the second, a few mistakes caused the 23-year-old to put on her skis at 105 meters and finished 19th.

Selina Freitag landed at 118.5 meters in the first round. In the final she struggled with the difficult wind conditions and only managed 100 meters and finished the competition as 23rd.

After her jump to 94 meters, Josephin Laue was eliminated in the first round.
